This entry-level position is a great opportunity to learn about key digital channels, including email, social media and web. Led by the Senior Director, Digital Strategies, the Digital Associate will support members of EWG’s Digital team by producing regular reports on key digital metrics, assisting in the execution of our email program and monitoring EWG’s social media channels.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic self-starter who will also work with the Digital Vice President and Senior Director to help create superior digital communications and assess their performance.

What you will do:

  • Assist the Social Media Manager in managing the social media calendar, including scheduling social posts.
  • Engage directly with EWG’s social media followers on our social media channels.
  • Assist the Social Media Manager in creating content for EWG’s social media channels.
  • Create weekly reports on digital fundraising and advocacy metrics to help the Digital team make data-driven decisions about ongoing strategy.
  • Assist with EWG’s push notification strategy for our Healthy Living app.
  • Help build and send email newsletters.
  • Report on EWG’s list growth and email performance.
  • Run queries, create reports and share analytics upon request.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions to develop campaign ideas and improve digital efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent Excel skills and comfort with numbers.
  • Self-sufficient, curious, eager to learn new skills and solve problems creatively.
  • Time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and grasp of online metrics and statistics.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Internship or work experience in digital marketing, social media or email experience.
  • Google Analytics experience.
  • Experience with social media management or listening tools, such as SproutSocial or TweetDeck.
