Arianne Callender

Director

Arianne Callender is Senior Counsel at Amgen, a biotechnology industry leader, counseling on a broad range of commercial matters, including regulatory compliance and promotional requirements for oncology molecules.  Prior to Amgen, she served as outside counsel representing life sciences clients in FDA, health care and compliance matters.  In the public sector, she served as counsel to the HHS Office of Inspector General, specializing in fraud and abuse enforcement for public health programs, and as Deputy Oversight Counsel to the House Homeland Security Committee.  She landed her dream job shortly after law school, where she was General Counsel to EWG and authored a report uncovering the failures of the Pigford v. Glickman civil rights settlement in addressing systemic federal lending inequities faced by America’s black farmers.  She graduated summa cum laude with a BA in English from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and received her JD from Harvard Law School.  She lives in Thousand Oaks, CA, with her wife, Kathleen.
