Hong brings to EWG a passion for environmental science and sustainability research. She received her bachelor’s degree from George Washington University, where she majored in biology and biological anthropology. Hong has worked as a research assistant, investigating the effect of the herbicide atrazine on eastern oysters in the Chesapeake Bay. Born in China, she moved to the U.S. when she was 10. Hong enjoys photography and digital art, listening to live music, traveling, and reading in local coffee shops.
